LED Lighting

Start with how the light will be seen. If the strip sits in plain view or in a shallow channel, COB gives a continuous line without dots. Where it is hidden or has to change color, SMD covers more options. Neon flex suits exposed curves and signage, wall washers throw light up tall surfaces, and flexible sheets light a whole surface from behind.

Then narrow by what the space needs: color temperature and CRI for the room, IP rating for the location, output per foot for the job, and maximum run for the layout. Every product page lists these, and the filters on this page sort by them.

A strip is only part of the system. Plan the channel, the driver and the control method at the same time, because each one limits the others.
