Our Warranty

ENKORA GROUP LLC ("ENKORA") warrants that each eligible ENKORA product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the applicable warranty period, when it is properly installed, used for its intended purpose, and operated in accordance with ENKORA's published specifications and instructions.

Warranty Period

Each ENKORA product carries either a 3-Year Limited Warranty or a 5-Year Limited Warranty. The term that applies to a product is the one stated in its product documentation — the product page, datasheet, packaging, quotation, invoice or order confirmation.

The warranty period begins on the original date of purchase.

Where separate warranty terms have been agreed in writing for a specific product or project order, those terms apply to that product or order to the extent permitted by applicable law.

What Is Covered

This Limited Warranty covers confirmed defects in materials or workmanship, including product failure resulting from such a defect, provided that the product:

  • was used for its intended purpose;
  • was properly installed;
  • was operated within its published electrical specifications and temperature range;
  • was used in an environment appropriate for its IP rating and other technical specifications;
  • was used with electrically compatible power supplies, drivers, controllers, dimmers and other components;
  • was operated in accordance with ENKORA's instructions and technical requirements.

A product failure does not by itself establish a manufacturing defect. ENKORA may inspect the product — and, where necessary, related system components — to determine the cause of a failure.

What Is Not Covered

This Limited Warranty does not cover damage, malfunction or failure caused in whole or in part by any of the following.

Electrical causes

  • incorrect or incompatible voltage, incorrect polarity, improper wiring or a short circuit;
  • exceeding the permitted electrical load or the published maximum run length;
  • voltage fluctuations, power surges, lightning or other external electrical events;
  • an incompatible, improperly selected or defective power supply, driver, controller, dimmer or other third-party component.

Installation and handling

  • improper installation, cutting, soldering or connection;
  • mechanical or physical damage;
  • unauthorized modification, disassembly or repair;
  • failure to follow installation or operating instructions.

Thermal and environmental conditions

  • inadequate heat dissipation or failure to meet thermal-management requirements;
  • operation outside the permitted temperature range;
  • exposure to water, moisture, condensation or other conditions the product was not designed for, including use of a product whose IP rating does not suit the installation environment.

Misuse and external events

  • misuse, abuse, negligence or use for an unintended purpose;
  • fire, flooding, extreme weather or other external events unrelated to a manufacturing defect.

Normal wear and tear is not a manufacturing defect. Gradual changes in performance over time that remain within published specifications or expected operating characteristics are not, by themselves, a manufacturing defect.

Power Supplies and Components from Other Manufacturers

Using a power supply, driver, controller, dimmer, connector or other component from another manufacturer does not, by itself, void this warranty. Such components must, however, meet the published electrical, operating and technical requirements of the ENKORA product and carry applicable UL and/or ETL certification.

This warranty does not cover damage to an ENKORA product caused directly by an incompatible, improperly selected, improperly installed or defective third-party component.

Who May Make a Claim

This Limited Warranty applies to the originally purchased product in its original installation. A claim may be submitted by the original purchaser.

Where a contractor, electrician, cabinetmaker, builder, designer or other professional purchased an ENKORA product for installation for a specific end customer, ENKORA may accept a claim when documentation is provided that allows us to verify the original purchase, identify the product and associate it with the project or installation.

Proof of Purchase

Proof of the original purchase is required for warranty service. Acceptable proof includes an ENKORA order number, invoice, sales receipt, order confirmation or another document that allows us to verify the product and its original purchase date.

Product registration is not required to obtain warranty service unless expressly stated otherwise for a specific product or program.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

  1. Contact ENKORA before returning anything, using the details at the end of this page.
  2. Describe the issue. We may ask for your order number or invoice, the product model and quantity, a description of the malfunction and when it was discovered, photos or video, and details of the power supply, driver, controller, dimmer, wiring method and installation conditions.
  3. Receive an RMA. After a preliminary review we issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and return instructions.
  4. Return the product as instructed. Do not ship any product without an RMA.
  5. Inspection. We inspect the product to determine the cause of the failure and whether the claim is covered. We may ask for further information about the system, installation conditions or related components.
  6. Resolution. A warranty determination is made once the necessary inspection is complete.

Remedies

If ENKORA confirms that a failure is covered by this Limited Warranty, ENKORA will, at its option and to the extent permitted by applicable law:

  • repair the product, where repair is reasonably practical;
  • replace it with the same or an equivalent product;
  • provide a comparable product if the original model is discontinued or unavailable;
  • refund the applicable amount; or
  • issue ENKORA Store Credit.

The remedy is determined by ENKORA based on the nature of the failure, product availability and other relevant circumstances.

Replacement Products and the Warranty Period

A replacement provided under this Limited Warranty fulfills ENKORA's warranty obligation; it is not a new sale. It does not start a new warranty period or extend the original one. The replacement is covered only for the remainder of the original warranty period, counted from the original date of purchase.

A new ENKORA product purchased separately, as a new transaction, carries its own warranty period from the date of that purchase.

Discontinued Products

If a product eligible for replacement has been discontinued or is unavailable, ENKORA may replace it with a product of similar or comparable technical specifications. Its appearance, dimensions, LED technology, CCT characteristics, light output or other characteristics may reasonably differ from the original. If no suitable replacement can be provided, ENKORA may offer another remedy available under this Policy and applicable law.

Shipping for Warranty Claims

  • No product may be shipped to ENKORA without an approved RMA.
  • Return shipping instructions are provided after the preliminary review of the claim. If ENKORA provides a prepaid return label, it must be used as instructed.
  • If the claim is confirmed, ENKORA covers standard shipping of the replacement product to you within the applicable service area.
  • Expedited, freight, oversized or other special shipping is not included unless agreed by ENKORA in writing.

Unless otherwise required by applicable law or agreed in a separate written agreement, this Limited Warranty applies to the product itself and does not include:

  • original installation, removal or reinstallation;
  • diagnosis by third-party contractors, or electrician and contractor labor;
  • cabinet, drywall, ceiling or other architectural work, or gaining access to the installed product;
  • lifts, scaffolding or other special equipment, and contractor travel;
  • repair of finishes or restoration of walls, ceilings, furniture or other structures;
  • project downtime or delays, loss of income or profit, and other incidental or consequential costs.

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so these limitations may not apply to you.

Implied Warranties

This Limited Warranty is the only express warranty ENKORA provides for its products. To the extent permitted by applicable law, any implied warranties — including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose — are limited in duration to the warranty period stated for the product. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so this limitation may not apply to you.

Returns and Warranty Claims Are Separate

Returning a non-defective product within the standard return period is governed by our Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy. A suspected manufacturing defect or failure after installation or use is handled under this Limited Warranty. The return period does not shorten the applicable 3-year or 5-year warranty period.

Changes to This Policy

ENKORA may change its warranty terms for future sales and new products. A change made after your purchase will not reduce the warranty period or the scope of the written warranty that applied to your product when it was purchased, except where permitted by applicable law.

This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. Nothing in this Policy limits or excludes any right that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
