Running further without injection

A long-run strip uses heavier copper, higher voltage, or a segmented internal design so that voltage drop stays within tolerance far past the point where a standard strip has visibly dimmed. Where a typical 24V run gives out around 32 ft, these reach 60 ft and beyond from one feed.

The value is not the copper, it is the wiring you avoid. A perimeter cove in a commercial space that would otherwise need power injected at three points can be fed from one — fewer drivers, fewer accessible service points, fewer things to fail after handover.

The trade-off is usually output. Reaching further generally means fewer watts per foot, so check the lumen figure against the design intent rather than assuming a long-run product will also be a bright one.
