Light for hot rooms
Saunas and steam rooms destroy ordinary LED strip. Heat softens adhesives, yellows coatings and drives the LEDs themselves to fade early. A high-temperature strip is built from materials chosen to tolerate sustained heat.
Only the strip goes in the hot room. The driver, any controller and every splice belong outside in a dry, ventilated position, connected through sealed leads.
Ratings vary by product, and the room's design temperature is what they have to be checked against. Send the room specification with your request and we confirm suitability in writing.
Common questions
Can I use regular LED strip in a sauna?
No. Standard strip, its adhesive and its coating are not built for sustained heat, and LEDs that run hot fade and fail early. Use strip made for the purpose.
Where should the driver go for sauna lighting?
Outside the hot room, in a dry, ventilated location, with only the strip and its sealed leads inside.
What temperature is high-temperature LED strip rated for?
It depends on the product, and the rating has to be checked against the room's actual design temperature. Send us the sauna or steam room specification and we confirm suitability in writing with the quote.
